TAG Project Porsche 997.2 Carrera S Project
27-Oct-2008
TAG Motorsports is pleased to announce the arrival of our white 2009 997.2 Carrera S PDK project car.
After months waiting, the car finally arrived at TAG Motorsports on October 22nd.
Being that its one of the first of the facelift 2009 vehicles to arrive in Southern California,
we immediately got to work.
Before we got started, we noticed a handful of changes Porsche made compared to the previous
generation 997. The new LED light strip in the bumper brightens up the front end along with the
updated LED taillights in the rear. Inside, the new touch screen PCM is very user friendly and finally
a usable iPod and Bluetooth interface which we love!
More importantly, our vehicle was ordered with the new dual clutch transmission or PDK as Porsche
likes to call it. With the stock power bumped up to 385 hp and 310 ft/lbs of torque, with Launch
Control engaged, the car launches from 0-60MPH in an amazing 4.1 seconds - thanks to the
vehicle coming equipped with Porsche's upgraded PASM with its Limited Slip Differential and
Sport Chrono Plus enabled.
Working in conjunction with TechArt & CEC, TAG Motorsports is building a complete TechArt
optioned vehicle - including full aero package, interior appointments, suspension, and TechArt's
newly released Type III wheels.
For those who would like to get an up-close and personal look at the vehicle, feel free to come see the vehicle
